Goshenite Seniors Services Inc. Driving Seniors program helps seniors with transportation to and from appointments, physically activities, leisure and social activities across the Greater City of Sudbury.

If you are a senior within the Greater City of Sudbury area, including Val Caron, Val Therese, Hanmer, Skead, Garson, Coniston, Wahnapitae, Azilda, Chelmsford, and Onaping, we provide personalized, door-to-door transportation. We also serve outlying communities and can drive clients to medical appointments outside our usual service area when needed, ensuring they still have reliable, supported transportation options.

Description of service:

From your home our Driving Senior team member will provide door-to-door or even door-through-door help, including steadying support, mobility aid handling, and help with seatbelts.

Take you to medical appointments, therapy, pharmacy, grocery shopping, banking, social visits, religious services, or community events. Assist you with checking in at clinics or offices and navigating buildings. Drive you safely back home, assist you out of the vehicle, ensure you are back inside, and, if needed, help carry bags or packages.

Our drivers understand seniors’ mobility and health needs, we can accommodate foldable walkers, wheelchairs and canes.

Overall, we believe our Driving Seniors Program services reduces isolation, improves access to healthcare and daily necessities, and help’s seniors stay engaged in community life.
